![]() Happy New Year folks! I hope your holidays were fantastic and amazing filled with family, good friends and lots of holiday cheer. I had an amazing time in Europe, came home and played an amazing holiday show here in Seattle and then took a break from the myfacetwittergram worlds to enjoy time in with my hubby and our little guy Ryder. I've also been clearing the cobwebs trying awaken my creative muse that has been on vacation since I gave birth to Ryder almost two years ago. It's hard to believe he is almost two and even harder to believe how fast that time has flown. I love being a Momma, I love being a Musician and the two are very difficult to pull off together. My muse has slowly been making her way back into my life and I want to nourish her which in turn nourishes me and I think that makes me better at both being a good Momma as well as a good Musician. So this year, my focus is to put the business side of music on pause a bit so I can put more focus in the creative part of my being and write new songs. Of course, you know me and I can't entirely keep from performing so there will be a few concerts in Washington and Oregon scattered throughout this year. But mostly, there will be me and my guitar and piano wooing my muse out of the shadows and back into the focus of my creative brain. I'm taking time to listen to more music and take in more art to get inspired so when you have a moment, send me links to music you like or art you've seen, books you've read or movies you liked. I'm always looking for inspiration and that comes in so many wonderful forms. And of course I'll be keeping my ears and eyes open, at all times, in places you least expect because you know people say and do the darndest things and that just makes for good song material. Big hugs to you all as we waltz into this sparkly new year. I'm excited for what it has in store for all of us and I look forward to giving you updates on the creations I can already feel dancing to the surface. Thank you for being on this adventure with me. Without you,I couldn't do what I do. much love and appreciation to each and every one of you, carrie Washington shows coming up.....
