Spring has come in like a lion here in Seattle and with it Mother Nature's whim of sunshine, rain showers, wind storms and rainbows. I love this time of year because the air feels electric and with it the spark of new growth, new songs and a bolt of creativity. I've got a couple new songs in the works with more finding their way to the surface. I am excited to share these new songs with you soon, but this month I get the honor of backing up a few of my favorite women performers who have been working on songs of their own. Their music is gorgeous and I am honored to be singing with them so here's the short burst of wind followed by the long stretch of rain....

Anna Coogan,a once Seattleite now living in Ithaca, NY, is coming back to her old stomping grounds to release her beautiful new album, "The Lonely Cry of Space and Time." She is joined by Willie B and this project combines facets of films scores, opera, and synth-driven rock. Shasta Bree, another beautiful Seattle songwriter, is opening the show and I will be joining her singing harmonies with a host of powerful women singers including Jen Ayers, Jennifer Hopper, Annie Jantzer, Lexi Morritt, Katie Sweeney and Christa Wells. It's going to be a wonderful night of music so I hope you can join us. Doors and dinner at 6pm, show is at 7:30pm.

I'll be singing a couple of my songs and singing back up harmonies with Jimm McIver and Sue Corcoran and Vincent Gates of the Von Piglet Family Players. This is going to be another night of really beautiful songs so I hope you can join us! Please note this is an early show starting at 6:30pm until 8:30pm. I'm off to pick up our son Ryder who turns four this month and these days he is as electric as the weather! He has definitely inspired me (or it could be hearing the Trolls soundtrack a few thousand times). He is fearless, curious and asks so many amazing questions that have opened up my eyes to see the world through his. I am one lucky girl to be his Momma.
Until I see you again, I hope you dance more often, sing at the top of your lungs (even if just in your shower) and be sure to let those close to you know how deliciously important they are to your being. YOU are amazingly important to me because without you, I couldn't do what I do and I am so very grateful.
