We are officially in the season of holiday goodness so, say hello to Christmas decorations, holiday songs in every store, candles being lit and gatherings of family and friends. The Lonesome Lovers and I very much enjoy this time of year and we've got a few special events in the Seattle area coming up starting this Friday that we feel embrace this time of year.
So first the quick lighting of a candle, followed by the long slow dance of a snowflake...

Sunday, December 15th: Underwood Stables Presents A Charlie Brown Christmas - Holiday Hootenanny Part 2
Thursday, December 19th: A Heart Needs A Home, Richard Thompson Tribute Show to Benefit Solid Ground

The best way to round out excessive celebration is to give back to the community and Solid Ground is one of my favorite organizations here in Seattle. This show is all about songs by Richard Thompson with a crazy fabulous all star line up of Seattle musicians led by our own Wayne Horovitz and also includes Bill Frisell. I'll be performing a couple songs along with Robin Holcomb, Eli West, Reggie Garrett, Darren Loucas, Jim Page, Paul Benoit and many more. Proceeds from this event will go to support Solid Ground adn the more than 55,000 King County residents they help each year with housing, food and life skills.
Saturday, January 4th: Conor Byrne Pub This show isn't in December, but it is early January and still part of the holidays in my book. Join the Lonesome Lovers and I in the sparkly new year of 2014 at the Conor Byrne Pub. We'll have some exciting news to share with you for the upcoming year.
Conor Byrne Pub: 5140 Ballard Avenue NW, Seattle
