_We made it!  2011 is over and done already starting to collect cobwebs and dust bunnies and drift back into the dark corners of our memories.  2012 is here all sparkly and vibrant still smelling of things exciting, fresh and utterly new!  I'm so very excited for what this New Year holds and so happy to have you all here on this musical journey with me!  I think this is the year to dance more often, sing at the top of your lungs (even if just in your shower) and let those close to you know how deliciously important they are to your being.   Before I dance away singing songs and spouting words of love and admiration, here is a small glimpse into what can be expected in this first month of our sparkly new 2012...

I'm sticking close to home for the next few months for shows in and around the state of Washington, but I will be doing a little bit of traveling in March to OREGON which I will announce just as soon as I am able.  And for your folks overseas in EUROPE our spring tour is getting rather full of fabulous shows in venues all over Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.  I'll announce dates in the next couple months. 

And with that I thank you all so so so much for being here and for being so so so fabulously and deliciously important to me and my being.  I'm off to summon my biggest and loudest singing voice followed by some serious dance moves (probably something pogo like from the 80's cause I hear the 80's are making a come back). Thank you for reading to the end, thank you for being on this list and thank you for being such an amazing source of inspiration to me.  I feel so very lucky to have such wonderful people to share this musical journey with.

It's December and it's time to break out the snow globes, holiday candles and start baking gingerbread cookes!  With such an amazing last couple months of CD releasing, touring and being oh so happy to be back in the northwest I can't believe we are almost into a new year!  December always feels like a cross between the end of a wonderful love story and the childlike excitement of knowing something exciting is so close you can almost taste it.

If you are a Tom Waits fan, this night is just for you.  Dave and I will be joining a host of Seattle bands performing nothing but Tom Waits tunes.  Show starts at 9pm, we go on late late at 1am, but just check out this list of performers.... Home again, home again and welcome welcome to all you new folks on the mailing list.  What an amazing month!  The Lonesome Lovers and I along with many of you here in Seattle kicked off the release of "Between the Bed Sheets & Turpentine" with an amazing night at the Columbia City Theater!  Then I got in my car and drove through Califonia, Arizona and New Mexico having the honor of meeting so many new people and catching up with folks I haven't seen in ages.  I had such an amazing time I've got tales and pics from the road and show announcements for you folks here in Washington, so first the cliff notes followed by all the fine details....

I did manage to snap a few pics while on the road.  Here are a few pics and tidbits just for you.....

Rain followed me from Seattle all the way to Laguna Beach, California.  I'm so so sad to have missed the ocean down there.  Fortunately the rain cloud that hitched a ride with me from Seattle moved along before I left California.

The first sunny day of the tour and an amazing day at the beach and with a visit to the Queen Mary ship before my show in LA at Genghis Cohen.  Thank you thank you to my tour guides and hosts, Holly and Steve!

Driving from Scottsdale to Bosque Farms, New Mexico is a long, long, long way...  Thank goodness for new CDs from Head and the Heart, Bon Iver, Beirut, Camille Bloom, the Arcade Fire and the ability to tune into NPR in almost any town.  I might have gone a bit stir crazy if I didn't have such amazing music to listen to.  I do know all the mentioned CDs by heart now....

Landscapes start to change, elevation starts to climb...  I heart the SW.

Occupy Albuquerque was right around the corner from where I performed at R.B. Winnings Coffee Company.

Driving from Albuquerque to Flagstaff and a climb 7000 feet high....
